Terms of service

These terms govern your purchase from Jersey Shore Saunas. They are written to be read, not to be skipped — a sauna is a large, heavy, electrically powered thing, and it is worth knowing where our responsibility ends and yours begins before you buy. If any of it is unclear, call us on 609-439-2910 and ask.

Who you are buying from

Jersey Shore Saunas is a sauna dealership based in Millstone Township, New Jersey. We are an authorised dealer for SaunaLife and the other brands distributed by Bathing Brands. We are not the manufacturer, and we do not have a showroom. Reach us on 609-439-2910 or at jerseyshoresaunas@gmail.com.

Placing an order

This is not an ordinary online purchase and we do not treat it as one. Placing an order on this site is a request to buy, not a completed sale. We contact you before anything is charged or shipped, to confirm the model, the heater, the delivery address and how the crate is coming off the truck.

Your payment method is authorised at checkout but not charged until we have spoken and confirmed the order. If we cannot fulfil it — the model is unavailable, the address is not workable, or we cannot reach you — the authorisation is released and you are charged nothing.

We may decline or cancel an order. Reasons include availability, a delivery address we cannot serve, a payment we cannot verify, or a pricing error.

Prices and errors

Prices are in US dollars and reflect the manufacturer's advertised price. Freight is shown separately and charged at cost, with no mark-up. We work hard to be accurate, but if a price, specification or availability is published wrongly we may correct it and cancel any order placed against the error, refunding you in full. We will always tell you rather than quietly ship something other than what you ordered.

Product information

Specifications, dimensions, materials and photographs come from the manufacturer. Wood is a natural material: grain, colour and knot pattern vary from unit to unit and from any photograph. That variation is normal and is not a defect.

Delivery, returns and warranty

These are set out in our shipping policy and our return and refund policy. Both form part of these terms, and the return window there is shorter than you may expect — please read it before ordering.

Assembly, electrical work and permits

This is the section that matters most.

• Assembly is optional and quoted separately. Where we assemble, we assemble to the manufacturer's instructions. You are also free to build it yourself, and we will walk you through it on the phone at no charge.
• We are not electricians. Sauna heaters need a dedicated circuit and must be wired by a licensed electrician. We will help you line one up, or work alongside yours, but that work is contracted directly between you and the electrician, billed by them, and warranted by them — not by us.
• Permits, inspections, zoning, setbacks and any HOA approval are your responsibility. Requirements differ from township to township and we cannot know yours. Please check before you order. A permit or zoning problem discovered after delivery is not grounds for a return outside the window in our refund policy.
• Site preparation is yours unless we have agreed otherwise in writing: a level, load-bearing base, drainage, and the clearances the manufacturer specifies around the heater and the structure.

Using your sauna safely

Saunas get very hot, and heat is not harmless. Follow the manufacturer's instructions on temperature, session length, ventilation and clearance around the heater. If you are pregnant, have a heart or blood-pressure condition, or take medication that affects how you handle heat, speak to a doctor before using a sauna. Do not use one after drinking alcohol. Children should not use a sauna unsupervised.

Warranty and limits

Your sauna carries the manufacturer's warranty, described in our refund policy. We pass that warranty through and we file claims on your behalf. We do not add a warranty of our own, and we cannot extend or alter the manufacturer's.

To the fullest extent the law allows, our liability in connection with any order is limited to the amount you paid us for it. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses — lost time or use, a contractor booked against a delivery date that moved, or damage arising from installation or electrical work we did not carry out ourselves.

Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under New Jersey consumer protection law that cannot be limited by agreement.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, and any dispute arising from them will be brought in the state or federal courts of New Jersey.

Changes to these terms

We may update this page. The version that applies to your purchase is the one published here at the time you place your order.
